Our Story

AlphaKOR’s first location was at 1949 Ottawa Street in Windsor, where it serviced home users and small businesses by providing custom computer builds, office software, and gaming software.

AlphaKOR created its first business and marketing plans, built around a Guerrilla Marketing approach. These plans were then presented to CIBC to secure financial support. To compete in the corporate market, AlphaKOR needed to offer NET-30 terms, requiring a $30,000 line of credit, which CIBC granted.

We grow to 4 employees.

Our slogan and philosophy, “We are committed to your satisfaction.” We provided service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.

AlphaKOR established a partnership with HP for servers, workstations, and networking. We qualified as an HP and Apple authorized service centre.

We grow to 9 employees.

We moved from 5957 Wyandotte Street East to 1670 Mercer Street.

We grow to 12 employees.

We deployed servers, workstations, and networking solutions for 32 locations across Ontario.

AlphaKOR wins the Windsor-Essex Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award for Small Company of the Year for Service. (yay!)

We created and launched a business plan based on a hybrid business MSP and VAR models.

AlphaKOR established a remote monitoring and management tool and service stack.

We partnered with N-Able and added monitoring of servers, workstations, networking, and security.

We grow to 19 employees.

We moved yet again from 1670 Mercer Street to 7800 Twin Oaks Drive.

AlphaKOR partnered with Avaya for Voice-over-IP solutions.

AlphaKOR wins the Windsor-Essex Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award for Mid-Size Company of the Year. (yay!)

We grow to 26 employees.

AlphaKOR purchases Canadian Computers Distributors. Along with the business purchase, came three technicians, and one salesperson.

AlphaKOR developed a business plan for its Managed Service & Security Provider offerings, introducing Virtual CIO and Virtual IT Manager services, advanced security monitoring (Dark Web monitoring, phishing detection, suspicious file inspection, vulnerability scanning, firewall penetration testing), and launching our own Security Operations Centre (SOC).

We grow to 50 employees.

Liqaa Alshimari started at AlphaKOR as a junior technician and, grew into roles as manager, director, and now CEO. His succession into the ownership team brought fresh energy and a complementary perspective to help drive AlphaKOR forward.

AlphaKOR grew its presence with expanded offices in London and Mississauga, giving us more ways to connect with and support our clients. Alongside this growth, our SOC team achieved SOC 2 certification, reinforcing the security our clients rely on.

We grow to 70 employees.
